The authors respond: It’s true that most books of the Bible contain references to foods, and we chose to focus on 18 different meals mentioned in the Bible. Our cookbook includes 18 full meals–that’s over 200 different recipes! We include recipes that feature all of the ingredients mentioned — dried beans, legumes, nuts, fruits, figs, fishes, meat, sea salt, and breads — as well as foods that are currently part of Middle Eastern fare. If you would like more information, please visit the greenwood.com website; the publisher can put you in touch with us, and we will be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for your interest in our book.
