This is certainly a fine looking product and would look quite nice on a kitchen counter, but honestly it seems a bit pricey to me. I wonder if the same results couldn’t be achieved with a few inexpensive clay pots and, if needed, an artificial light source if enough direct sunlight is in short supply.

As an owner of 2 AeroGardens, they are a little more sophisticated, and actually even easier to use than clay pots. With clay pots, you still have to water and maintain the plants...you don\’t with the AeroGarden. It\’s all automatic. They have also come down in price a little too. You can get them for $149 with free shipping and a free herb kit from The AeroGarden Store (www.hydroponic-home-garden.com).
